Aishwarya Rajesh goes Bollywood - UNNOTICED

Aishwarya Rajesh had debuted in Hindi cinema in June 2017 and most of us haven't heard of that. The film is Daddy and she starred opposite Arjun Rampal. 




Yes, Aishwarya Rajesh has many Tamil films under her belt but the excitement of home grown Tamil girl debuting in Bollywood runs pretty low within the Tamil film fraternity - the movie isn't even dubbed in Tamil.

When Dhanush made his debut in Hindi - Ranjhannaa and Shamitabh, the frenzy was crazy. So much publicity was invoked - both movies were dubbed in Tamil. Aishwarya Rajesh didn't get half the limelight Dhanush got for her foray into Bollywood - and she speaks Hindi too!

And, are we using female home grown talent fully? Especially in glam roles - just because they are several shades darker? I don't understand why are so shy to use our own Tamil girls who actually got acting talent and can speak Tamil. We even missed out on a huge inspiring story in our own backyard and Bollywood picked it up - Pad Man.

We are just letting home grown female acting talent slip to Bollywood or the Telugu film industry for that matter as aptly said by Vidyullekha Raman.

Will Aishwarya Rajesh become the next Sridevi? Only time and the willingness of the Tamil film industry to change will tell!
