Murder just for saying NO?

The news of the brutal double murder of a 16 year girl, C Durga Devi and her mother, Mariayee, 56, though not yet substantiated but is said have been committed because the girl refused the advances of a guy has left me in cold blood. There was no forced entry and neither anything was stolen from the house. This is the info I got through WhatsApp.

Just in the wake of the movie PINK where 3 girls were dragged to court by 4 vengeful guys who wanted to get even for being jilted, this happened and it reflects how the opinion of a woman is considered not final unless it is in favor with what a guy wants. And if that doesn’t happen, hurting the woman is warranted.

From Infosys Swathi, acid attack victim Laxmi to C. Durga Devi, the incidents don’t seem to lessen but only increase. Our boys need to accept no as the final decision from a girl not pester her to say yes and if she wouldn’t harm her in an irrevocable way.

Harming a woman because she refused to go your way maybe good for ego boost but it is something that is separate from humanity - it’s bestiality. A dignified man is who accepts the decision of a woman once she conveyed it and move on and over, not one who pesters her to change her decision and if she won’t, teach her a lesson on how wrong it is to defy a man. This is the result of patriarchy and it is not only not good for women, it’s not good for men too as the latter will end up in jail.

If you like a woman and she doesn’t reciprocate, respect that and leave her alone.
If a woman is not a virgin, when she says no, respect that and leave her alone.
If a woman is a prostitute, when she says no, respect that and leave her alone.
If a woman is even your wife, when she says no, respect that and leave her alone.

Just like men, women have their own free will - let them exercise it. You save your own lives too in that case.
