Murder versus moral policing Indian women
For the past two days, we at KK have been posting much on the recent murder case that happened in Ulu Tiram, Johor involving a mother and a daughter. We put up memes comparing how machas react to murder cases compared other trivial issues such as girl clubbing, drinking, smoking and not knowing how to cook biriyani/thosai. However, many Taliban Indian pages kept quiet and did not post anything on the murder. The same pages that are quick to condemn Indian girls based on unconfirmed news did not make any noise about the violent crime that had taken place. It was a stark contrast towards the reactions that these pages and machas show towards girls not knowing how to cook, jannal vecha jacket, clubbing, drinking etc. After much provocation, one lame page came up with – ippo yaaru murder pandrathu correct tu nu sonna? That is the only reaction that was gained from these so called pages which actively polices the Indian girls and kononnya GATEKEEPERS of INDIAN CULTURE!!!
Now, two days after deafening silence from such kosa dappas, one video has been circulated regarding how a girl was dressed in a temple, how the mother advised the girl, how the guy feels that Indian girls must wear proper attire to temple, how Indian culture will be degraded in the eyes of foreign tourists and how the temple management have been slacking on their jobs. See, two days have gone by and no machas made a video condemning the brutal murder that had taken place. No machas made a video condemning how wrong it is to stalk a girl and murder her. No machas addressed or acknowledged the fact that Indian guys who were involved in such brutal murder must be given heavy punishment. No machas came out and say that the reason why Indians are not given employment is because of such criminal machas. No machas say that such murder cases are the reason why Indians are degraded and looked down upon. No machas say that Indians are eyed suspiciously and feared simply because these machas’ brutal and senseless criminal acts. No machas made video questioning how the parents of these machas brought them up? If it were girls – machas will pull everyone in the family questioning their upbringing but in murder case, these machas keep quiet.
We are extremely disappointed because moral policing girls and their dressing still is a priority rather than brutal murder cases. Dress degrades culture but MURDER adds value to culture we suppose?
