Girl throwing party after dumping boyfriend and feminism

This maybe Hindi/North Indian ad but replace the pizza with liquor and that's the scene in every other mainstream Tamil movie. Lately, the condemnation of girls in Tamil movies has taken feminism and women empowerment with Tamil boys dictating what should girls do and not do under the wing of feminism and women empowerment, in restoration and perpetuation of patriarchy.

Forget dumping, girls not accepting proposal or fight in relationship make the men drink and sing anti-women songs in Tamil movies.

So bro, lookie here, having a party because she dumped her bf is okay - relationships can sour and anyone can walk out if that's what they think is best for them and celebrate that shit. Note that I said ANYONE.

It's human to rant or celebrate post breakup - just don't make inane connections like Kohli is winning in cricket only because her broke up with Anushka Sharma. If he won, it's because of his sporting dexterity and practice. Partying post breakup is not a feminist issue. It'd be great if feminism isn't pulled into everything imaginable, from air cond to party.

Every person reacts differently after dumping or being dumped. And, no, not only guys are the ones with bleeding hearts that love truly - girls are capable of that too. I've been there. I have girl friends who have been there. Tamil movies have given the status of heartless bitches for girls for daring to choose not to reciprocate the hero's love. It had given the impression that girls don't get hurt or feel pain - we can't even drink to forget things, all boys will come fangs baring at us with the Thani Oruvan dialogue and be instant fertility doctors and oncologists while glorifying, "Drinking is not my hobby. It's my girlfriend's last gift."

Any reaction is fine post breakup for people as long as it doesn't perpetuate hate for unrelated to the failed relationship people like 'all women' and superstition like in the Virat Kohli case. That's what my reaction is as a feminist.
