Sanitary pads are not a shame

Sanitary pads are not something that belong to the darkest depths of a woman’s closet, away from the vision field of males. They’re not shame to be hidden and dealt with surreptitiously. 

Menstruation is a biological process and sanitary pads is a hygienic process that deals with menstruation. That’s all that is. There is nothing shameful in your male family members getting you sanitary pads or see it. Actually it makes them aware that women endure much travail and elevates respect towards em.

This doesn’t mean you should tell everyone when you’re on periods. Just when it’s necessary rather than lying about it and trying to hide it. And we don’t bleed blue like shown in ads (ain’t horseshoe crabs). We bleed crimson.
