Shame in Indian culture prevents wrongdoings - how true is that? (Part 1)

Machas or Indians in general love to say that western culture is a shameless culture. When cited why rape is less in those countries, these people go that, they don't have any shame like we have.. They can sleep with whoever they want, men can find women to let go of their lust.. There is no such thing as karpu, virginity there.
Okay, so we have a great culture of shame but does that mean no boy and girl in our community don’t sleep around? That is individual preference devoid of religion and beliefs. We all know that there are many men and women who sleep around even with very strict religious and cultural rules...so, let's not be judgemental on the sleeping around part. Religion or not, people do go around sleeping. In some countries, this is done openly. In some countries, this is done discreetly and hypocritically .. It's better to sleep around openly than sleeping around discreetly then act holier than thou. Sex is something beyond culture and restrictions - it’s human instincts. To bridle it is an uphill battle. I am not endorsing fornication - simply speaking the plain truth.
Shame is an effective scapegoat and cultural rules that revolve around shame almost always lets the male scoot free while pinning the female guilty - if you see restrictive Asian or Indian culture, the society is always ready to chastise girls while giving guys impunity.
We at KK itself have to think in so many angles to expose a 3rd rate porikki who goes around cheating girls despite having solid proof. He threatens the girls he cheated, knowing that his image won’t suffer damage and sends pics of prostitutes to these girls when confronted. We put a post of him advising meenachis on not speaking English when they can’t (his privacy setting was public) and his player life was revealed as a result of that. He got so much support and he personally entreated us to to remove the post but he still buat perangai with girls - we had to think, what will happen if the mangkuk macha commits suicide and how we will be implicated, about the support he’ll get ‘boys will be boys, is this a big issue, go do better work la, ambala na apdi ipdi than irupan, (men will be like this, it’s normal) etho vayasu paiyan, enna kole kutthama pannitan? (young boy, what did he commit murder?), etc’ the plate being turned on us, accusing of cyber bullying and we ended up not exposing him for fear of the consequences we will face because of culture of double standards. But, a meenachi wearing swimsuit to go swimming and she uploading her pic on Facebook with FRIENDS PRIVACY SETTING gets on a Malaysian Indian Taliban moral policing page with the caption, ‘you want to be famous right bitch, here I will make you famous’ despite she setting audience privacy - machas spewed diatribe on her like anything. We took to task to defend the girl and in a tearful message to us, she said she’s deactivating her Facebook due to the harassment in inbox from machas. See how cultural shame works to defend a male cheating culprit and defame a girl for wearing swimsuit to go swimming. No one cares if the girl commits suicide - many will say that she’s better off dead now that she’s mortified. This is our great Indian culture. Somehow, I can't be proud of it..
